BULK ORDER of 10 or 25 bags of clay at 10kg per bag. The Bulk options are best for schools, studios and workshops as are the most economical price per bag for purchasing this clay. The natural colour of this clay takes the bright underglaze and glaze colours to a much more subtle colour result. The Red Ochre is a rich natural red/brown firing clay in Oxidation in the electric kiln. Texture is 50 mesh. Not recommended for reduction in a gas kiln. Strong dark coloured glaze response 1200℃. Suitable as a mid fire clay. Recommended bisque 1050℃ and glaze 1220-1260℃. Shrinkage rate Bisque 7%. Earthenware 8 %. Midfire 10%.
