A white clay with a large addition of fine white Grog (35%) (0.5mm). This clay is suitable for large pots, sculptural work, tiles etc. Used for Handbuilding coils or slab building, there is a coarse texture that the grog creats into the surface fo the clay. An extremely strong clay at 30 mesh. May be fired to stoneware temperatures. Grog size -30. Suitable for raku firing as can withstand thermal shock due to the large amount of grog in the clay body. Recommended bisque temperature 1050℃. and glaze temperature 1100-1280℃. Shrinkage rate Bisque 8%. Earthenware 9 %. Midfire 11%. Stoneware 14%.
